Supermodel Elsa Benitez was born on December 8, 1977, in Sonora, Mexico. Her modeling career started in 1995, after winning a model search in Costa Rica, and modeling jobs started pouring in. First in Mexico then in the United States and Europe. In 1996, she could be seen on the cover of Vogue Italy three times (April, August and September). Elsa signed with Elite Model Management, and appeared on the covers of many top fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Mademoiselle, and Marie Claire. This great babe was also the cover girl for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition in 2001.

She appeared in the 1999 Pirelli Calendar that featured Women Through the Decades. In the issue she was representing the groovy '70s. Elsa is married to former NBA player Rony Seikaly. She has been taking acting lessons and she hopes to work in both Spanish and English films.
