Supermodel Claudia Schiffer was born on August 25, 1970, in Dusseldorf, Germany. She was one of the original supermodels of the early 1990s. Modeling agent, Michel Levaton, spotted her in October 1987, one night when she and her girlfriends where out clubing. She then flew to Paris for her first test shoot. Claudia's real breake came from the popular cover shot for Elle magazine. In 1989, she was selected to be the new Guess? girl.
