Great Singer Gwen Stefani was born on October 3, 1969, in Anaheim, California. She grew up in Southern California with her parents, Dennis and Patti, her sister Jill, and her two brothers, Todd and Eric. Her brother, Eric, started the band No Doubt with his friend John Spence in 1987 and asked Gwen to join in as co-vocalist with Spence. Later on, Tony Kanal joined the group, and the trio began to gain popularity by playing at local parties. In 1997, John Spence committed suicide, which led to Gwen Stefani moving up the ranks to lead vocalist. No Doubt continued to perform at local gigs, and in the meantime, Gwen graduated high school and followed up her studies at Cal State Fullerton College.
